hey guys
Great show. One of the guys I worked with last year went to the last world cup in Germany. Where they had the same online ticketing system in place. The only difference in SA is the collaboration with FNB and the creation of the CAT4 tickets for locals. Which is needed given our soccer fan base. When it came to using the printed tickets at the stadium my colleague mentioned that he never saw anyone’s ID being checked when entering the stadiums. If the Germans cant do it, I highly doubt we can get it right for this FWC. No one would get inside the stadium quick enough even if they check every 10th person.

On another note because of FIFAs ticketing system and me trying to up my chances at getting tickets I have ended up doubling up on 3 games! They should have deduped before issuing me with a second ticket. Abit of a FAIL on their part. Not complaining because I know people who haven’t even got tickets after applying in every round.
My 2c.
Cheers
Alan

Thanks for the info Ballsy. I'm convinced they won't be able to check who's who when entering the ground, so getting your tickets printed and then selling them could easily work.

We'll see if we can find anymore info out and keep you posted.
